Dr. Joe Temple

    Dr. Joe Temple graduated from Bob Jones University in 1939 with a B.A. degree in Religion with emphasis on the original Languages, Greek and Hebrew. He did graduate work at Hardin Simmons University. He presented daily expository messages on a radio program for 51 years, as well as a weekly television program on which the Bible was presented verse by verse, chapter by chapter from Genesis to Revelation.
    In 1964, the Board of Trustees of Bob Jones University voted to confer upon him the degree of Doctor of Divinity in recognition of his long years of faithful exposition of the Word of God from the pulpit and printed page, through which he became internationally known.  He was the author of numerous bible study booklets and of Know Your Child, a guide to raising children from a Biblical perspective, published by Baker Book House. 
    In 1943, he founded the Abilene Bible Conference Association, a non-profit corporation through which his varied ministries could be carried on in Abilene, Texas. In addition to speaking at Bible conferences throughout the United States, Mexico, Central America, and Europe, and an extensive Summer Camp ministry, Dr. Temple spoke in colleges, universities, and seminaries, among which were Bob Jones University, Dallas Theological Seminary and LeTourneau College. He was Bible Hour Speaker for the Gideons’ International Convention, as well as for regional and state conventions.  Dr. Temple went home to be with the Lord in 1990.

Dr. Tim Temple

    Dr. Timothy Temple is a graduate of Bob Jones University, Dallas Theological Seminary and Trinity Theological Seminary. . He served as pastor of Grace Church in Wichita Falls, Texas from 1968-1978 and as the pastor of Abilene Bible Church from 1978 to 2009 when he retired from the ministry.
    In addition to his pastoral experience, Tim has spoken in Christian camps, youth retreats, and Bible conferences throughout the United States and Central America. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Bible Memory Association, Int., Gospel Workshop for Children, and CAM (Central American Missions) International. He has been involved in the ministry of Walk To Emmaus since 1995 and the Kairos prison ministry since 2005.
